PREBOND-220 is a high-performance engineered acid-resistant paint formulated with advanced silicone-modified polymer technology. It provides superior protection against strong acids, alkali fumes, and highly corrosive chemicals.

This coating is specially designed for chemical plants, marine structures, and heavy industrial environments where maximum corrosion resistance and long-term durability are required.

Application Procedure & Other Details

Mixing Container:
PREBOND-220 is supplied in a single container in ready-to-use form.

Mixing Method:
Stir or shake thoroughly before application.

Method of Application:
Can be applied using brush, roller, air spray, or airless spray.

Thinner:
Use PREBOND-084 thinner if required.

Recommended Coats:
Apply 2 coats for best results with a gap of 6–12 hours between coats.

Required DFT:
Maintain a minimum 100-micron Dry Film Thickness (DFT) for optimum protection.

Surface Preparation

Surface Cleaning:
Clean the surface properly using a wire brush, sandpaper, or cotton cloth to remove rust, dust, and loose particles.

Heavy Rusted Surface:
Apply 1 coat of PREBOND-110 (Rust Converter Chemical) before coating.

Light Rusted Surface:
After cleaning the surface with a wire brush, apply 2 coats of PREBOND-220 directly.

Old Painted Surface:
Clean the surface with a wire brush and apply 2 coats of PREBOND-220 directly.

New Metal Surface:
After proper surface cleaning, apply 2 coats of PREBOND-220 directly.

Shelf Life:
12 months when stored in air-tight containers under proper conditions.

Concept of DTM Paint – PREBOND-220

DTM (Direct-to-Metal) Paint is a single-component, ready-to-use system providing long-term corrosion protection against strong acid and alkali fumes. After application, it forms a stable, hard protective layer that preventing acid and alkali fumes from penetrating the metal surface, offering robust protection in highly-corrosive & acidic-alkaline environments for 02*-03* years more without primer. This DTM paint eliminates the need for primer and mixing two components, reducing paint wastage and ensuring a hassle-free application.
